counting down the minutes til 12;43
that would make 48 hours since i left a voicemail with my cousin
48 hours is enough time i reckon
48 hours to decide what to do with the great big steaming load of harry that i left in his voicemail
i GET people have jobs
i GET that my hijinx aren't appreciated
i GET that my joie de vivre' scares people
im a freight train, im on a roll,
set one less place for thanksgiving at 12:43 Pacific time
the silence is deafening
in it i hear judgement
in it i hear fear and misunderstanding
but most of all, 48 hours seems slightly disrespectful to me
48 hours seems rude
i dont come out west that often
and this may be my last trip
it was already weird and it can only get weirder and thats not appealing to me
especially when the words are flowing, when my energies are accessible
i need to get some words in and an eight or nine hour busride for 100 bucks doesnt seem like any kind of thing i want to do
this is my walkabout
my journey
if they dont GET me thats fine
if they are too busy, thats fine
if they are dis-comfitted, allow me to re-comfit them
im staying at a cheap motel my the airport
im gonna churn out some words
im sorry to have troubled you in any way

ReplyDeleteMoney is not just a means of exchange of goods or service. It was always a tool of control. It makes money the most valuable thing in life because it equals survival. The more you have, the better chance you have at living and supporting a family. Yet your family should be the most valuable thing in life, one would think. By it's very existence, everything that makes us human is devalued. Your value as a human being is now set on how much of it you have. Automatic class division. Money was the downfall to the great Egyptian culture when money was first introduced. It's a chance for corruption to breed.
ReplyDeleteThe nature of the universe is free. If it wasn't, you'd lose an arm because your legs demanded all the blood that arm used, for whatever political reason it had. No organism requires any money at all. All organisms and species have a purpose and roles on this planet. We as humans have discovered neither of those things. Thus we look like a cancer to the planet.
I have yet to find the reason to our role on this planet. A question desperately needing answers. I do know sharing, equality and balance is part of that answer. Also know that neither of those qualities is in money.
